My M-49 J frame and pocket holster fit very well in good old cheap Wal Mart brand Jeans. Their cheap and wear good. Don't need some fancey uless lable on my clothes,or shoes.:barf: That's yuppy crap.Use the money you save to buy more guns and ammo.:D

My prior post:

I have a S&W 340PD that I carry in a Nemesis inside my chest coat pocket in winter, and it works great. Fleece, jacket, sports coat: invisible in all of them in that inner chest pocket.

But the Nemesis is a bit bulky for my jeans and shorts in summer on my slender frame. The "tab" at the bottom that makes it square up and stick so well in the coat pocket seems to add too much bulk for front pocket carrry for me.

After reading this post and others, I just ordered the Mika round model. For the price, what the heck?

I'll report back after it arrives and I give it a test ride.

Mika filled the order quickly, and it fit the revolver well. The profile is similar to the Nemesis, but lacks the "tab" feature at the bottom that squares off the Nemesis. That's good for what I wanted.

That makes it fit much better in my jeans front pocket. The Nemesis's tab just got in the way there. The round Mika will also ride inside some of my inside-chest coat pockets, but the squared off Nemesis is a bit better in some of my coats with roomier pockets. (I'm sure the squared Mika would do just as well in those.)

I am very pleased with the Mika, and the price (less than $20 with shipping) is tough to beat for a leather holster.

If you are searching for a pocket holster, this is one to try.

I heartily agree. Robert knows his stuff. I'm still lovin' my "round-cut".

I carry my 642 in the rounded model in my jeans and suit pants and it works quite well in both. I have the squared model but the round one has worked so well that I really haven't bothered to try it much. At first it struck me as a bit overly large but then I realized he left just enough extra room to actually get my trigger finger along the frame, inside the holster for the draw. His service is exceptional, his prices are more than reasonable, and he'll gladly answer any questions you have. Folks like him are few and far between, these days.

Buy 2 from Mr. Mika. I e mailed him two weeks ago about a chief's special carry and he advised the right holster, pocket square cut for jacket. Then I said shoot (literally) I'll take the round pocket one too. Great service custom made quality made in the USA. Great SERVICE!!! Thanks Robert. He also signs each hoster and specifies who is his customer. Wow I can't say enuff good stuff.
