You've got an assembled rifle with stock factory upper and lower, and plenty o' mags. What acessory or modification is next on your list?

1. A good trigger such as a JP or other
2. Optics if its a flat-top
3. Free float the barrel with a tubular handguard or other parts if you want to keep the standard look.
4. I like an after-market grip, the Sierra Precision in particular. This helps keep the finger tip on the trigger.
5. A bi-pod is useful for some applications.

IMO it depends on what you plan on using it for. if you are talking long range tack driver, trigger job, optics, free float hg and bipod. if it is a personal defense/ home defense, tele stock, red dot scope good flashhider maybe a forward grip, flashlight and mag holder on the gun. one thing that is normaly a good choice all around is a good sling. a lula will save alot of thumb pain if you have to load alot of mags. if you are planning on keeping the brass for reloading a brass catcher can save alot of bending over picking up cases.

1. Formal training from a reputable instructor
2. Optics and BUIS
3. Good sling or remove sling swivel
4. Stock factory upper? Upgrade the bolt and extractor springs
5. Grip - don't care for the stock grip much
6. Rail system - makes swapping accesories between ARs so much easier
7. Ammo - lots and lots of ammo
8. More training
9. Magpul M93A stock
10. Various and assorted geegaws that pique my curiousity

By how much money I have in my wallet the SWMBO does not know about.
Should have a 18" barrel with Mid-length forearm with slab side upper.
Goodies I want
Ace Skeleton stock
Ergo Ambi grip

Flattop w/ fixed front sight
ACOG
BUIS

If Flat top w/ Rail Gas block
ACOG
Folding ARMS 40 rear
Folding ARMS front

DA Switch

I havn't had mine very long, and asked a similar question right after my aquisition. After about 8 months, here's my observation.

It's nearly as good as it gets the way it is. Make sure you get these few items:

Sling
Replacement grip
Not less than 10 milspec mags
More ammo than you can comfortably lift all at once.

Now, here's what you do:
Shoot. A LOT. Learn to use the irons before you put on ANY other optic. You might find, as I did, that I can do better with iron sights in most situations, than I can with any other sight, and I don't have to worry at all about cost or fragility.

That's it for me, anyway.....
