How do you protect your shooting glasses?

I've busted the arm of my shooting glasses one too many times. I picked up a hard eyeglasses case from Walmart last night, but it won't quite fit my glasses in:mad:

So, can anyone point me in the right direction? I like to keep all of my gear in a range bag, that way I can just pick it up and head out without having to go thru a checklist every time. You know what I mean ... bullets, check .... gun, check .... holster, check .... gunbelt,DOH!

I'm not sure how long Wiley will continue to replace my broken frames, so I got to come up with a way soon. Also, hope to find something that won't take up half of my range bag.:(

Maybe I should get a shooting vest and keep them there, but I'll never use it in the hot VA summers.

Sooooooo, what do yall do. Anyone have any clever ideas, or good source for a hard case?

TIA

I had the same problem. Solved by picking up at Walmart in the houseware's section a Rubbermaid brand butter dish. Sounds crazy but works great and is very durable. Clear plastic with heavy duty lid. Cost 2 or 3 dollars.

I just use the hard case made by the manufacturer of my shooting glasses.

It sounds like you also use Wiley-X glasses. I purchased my Wiley-X PT-1s during a promotion where they gave away a free hard case for every pair sold. However, it also sounds like you don't like the Wiley-X case because of its size. Yes, it is big. But I haven't been able to find a smaller alternative -- and an alternative that will provide space for a spare lens or two.

My previous set (Gargoyles Arctic Clear) was protected by the Gargoyles hard case ($15).
