I responded to your question on firing pin removal as follows:
"Yes, the firing pin runs at an angle. To remove it, remove the screw beside the thumb latch and remove the latch and cam (don't lose the spring). Then remove the screw on the underside of the bolt that was covered by the latch. The firing pin can then be pulled/pushed out; in most cases it is held by old grease, so it won't just drop free. Note that it has to be replaced in a certain position for the screw to engage it properly."
You don't need to remove the breechblock (I see I called it a "bolt" but that was a goof) to remove the firing pin. If you want, you remove the hinge pin by just tapping it out from the right side. It does not need to be turned to remove it. The retention by the stock is only to prevent it from drifting out under recoil.
