How far away is your favorite gunstore? Mine is the four seasons gun store about 90 miles away from where I am right now.

As cl;ose as the phone or computer is. All I gotta really do is make a call or e-mail. It is after all a family member.

Fountain firearms in houston,

around 60 miles, maybe less maybe more, takes me an hour to get there, and most of it is at 55-70 mph

two gun shops closer to me than that, but one is staffed by idiots and @$$holes who think that THEY are the ones to me catered to, and the other is friendly but small on selection (this shop gets as much of my buying as possible but fountain is my fave to browse do to having more "stuff")

Well, I live in the Dallas area now. I used to live in the desert of Southern California. My favorite gunshop when I lived there was "Condor Guns" in Desert Hot Springs. Great little family shop, nice people. I really miss em. I am not even sure if they are still in business. The way things have gotten in California have made it hard to stay in business for the little guys.

Anyone know if Condor Guns is still around? If so, PM me.

My last couple thousand rounds of ammo have come from Outdoormarksman. The two shops that I bought from before, I wouldn't buy from them again. This was when I couldn't find a transfer dealer close to me that would charge a reasonable (ie. less than $50) and paid more than I should've. Last purchase was from a guy in FL and had it transferred.

Living in IL doesn't give me the luxury of nice gun shops. There is a nice one about 30 minutes west but they're extremely overpriced: Think 20% more than most shops on pistols and $20.00 to use their range.:(

On Target in Kalamazoo,Mi.About 50ish miles south of me.I have to drive past three other shops to get there. They all have their strong points but On Target is,far and away, the best store.IMO.

Too far ... thing about living around Puget Sound is ... distance is not always as the crow flies. Do you take a ferry? Or do you drive around the sound? Or do you take another ferry, and drive the rest of the way? This state has reasonable gun laws and some nice gunshops ... but it seems that each shop has its own niche, with no one shop really serving all my needs. I really need to hit about three of my favorite gunshops here -- which are all about 40 or 50 miles apart -- to find what I need at any given time.

Just found it today and clocked it on the way home - 12 miles. And I feel damn lucky to have found it.

My favorite shop is Guns Plus which is about 30 miles away. I go by another in Goodyear that has A**holes and is over priced.

Just down the street a couple of blocks. Outdoor America's a good place to be by. Saves gas since I go there all the time. :)

With a staff endlessly tolerant, and even encouraging, of 12 and 13 year olds who had more far more questions to ask than money to spend, my favorite gun store is fully 40 years away and you can’t get there anymore.
