all the stores I frequent are anywhere from 2-30 miles.

As to which one is my favorite? Well...they all have pros and cons to them, glad I have many to choose from. :D

In OKC it's Outdooramerica Store about 20 miles from where I live. Excellent selection and the best prices in Oklahoma.

Now if I could just find an FFL that didn't charge 30 or 40 bucks to do a transfer my favorite store would be about 18" away - my computer.

What's with the high cost to do a transfer. My understanding - and I could be wrong - is a transfer essentially entails receiving the firearm into inventory - one form and then releasing it from inventory - another form and doing a NCIS check. There might be 15 minutes worth of time involved. The FFL is entitled of course to make a profit on the deal - after all it's his time and this is America and of course they have to maintain the records forever but still...

From my work, Gallenson's in Salt Lake City is about 1 1/2 blocks, and I walk there and window shop/drool on my lunch break about once a week.

Had one about 2 miles away till the new gun laws in the great state of mass drove him out of buss. Now I drive 15 miles.

It used to be in town here about a mile away, but they did a coupla things that pissed me off so I'm trying a new place 30 miles away.

I live out in the sticks so I have to drive to a town but there is a couple of good shops there. one to look and plaay at and one to but at.

DOH! I saw the title of this thread and I thought "Ha-hA! My favorite gun shop is Four Seasons, which is only about two and a half miles from my office!"

Heh, we have the same favorite gun shop.

Seriously, how can you not love Four Seasons, if you live in MA?
