Regarding these horrific home invasions that take place around the country in places we would all consider immune from these crimes, suppose you were the victim of this crime one day. Suppose they had tied you and your family up at gun-point and began to abuse all of you, they let you know of their intentions, rape/rob/kill/burn the house down.
You get free, get to your gun and get the drop on them. How far could you go? Hold them at gun-point while you called the cops? Shoot them in the legs and start abusing them? Make them beg for their lives? Tie them up? I would tell you what my spouse and daughters would do and cops would not be involved.
Honesty, purity and innocence are all qualities we would like to live to our last days with. But the world just won't allow that. Most of us don't like or want confrontation, strife, violence, we enjoy living peacefully and in harmony.
But sometimes you just have to reach down and grab up that dark place inside of you and use it to beat the darkness that confronts you.
I am not a fan of life-imprisonment, I am a fan of the death-penalty. I am not a fan of limited force, I am a fan of total destruction. If you have to fight, fight and win, don't struggle.
I cannot comprehend rules of war or engagement or survival. There is only one rule....to live, to survive. And in this day and age, to make a point. We need to let these thugs know that what they are engaging in will become a very dangerous endeavor, an endeavor they should not ever again engage in.

Regarding the current strategy in Iraq and Afghanistan, the war on terror, I feel that it is jeopardizing this countries security and safety. The current strategy for the troops over there of waiting to be shot or IED'd before reacting is not a winning strategy and merely emboldens the enemy and portrays the United States as weak and infinitely restrained and vulnerable. Not much different from our Vietnam fiasco. We need body counts, burned villages, heads of our enemies on display on a table covered in pig entrails. We need to be dousing the borders of Iraq and Afghanistan with pig guts and carcasses from C-130's, we need to be scaring these guys from messing with us. We need to be dropping pamphlets saying the 40-virgins aren't virgins and have male genitalia or are harlots, whatever it takes, we need to be playing dirty.
But because we are inept at offending anyone we open ourselves up to attacks at home and abroad, this jeopardizes our safety here at home and it is wrong. We deserve better protection as Americans. Where's my lawyer?
