Hi guys, take a look at this sweet little number. She's a Winchester M70XTR Featherweight .270 with a Ziess Diavari C 3-9x42 scope. Also has a BEAUTIFUL Maple stock and gold plated trigger/scope rings/safety lever. What did i pay for it u ask???? Try $700.00 at a garage sale :) To say im happy is an understatment. Also came with a really nice stainless steel rifle case.

Way more than jealous.

Oh, I'm gonna barf! :barf:

Jeez, you may as well go buy a lotto ticket as long as you're on a lucky streak.
The scope alone is worth about half that or so.... ugh....I gotta go barf again.
:barf:

......wow. That zeiss i could be worth around 600 alone--I know they are where I work. You got ONE HECKUVA DEAL, man.............any chance you want to sell it to me, as is, for that price? I'd give $750 for it, you could make a quick profit.....

By the way guys, did i mention it will put Federal Premium 130gr. ammo through one hole at 50 yds.?? Also asked my unkle about the stock, he said alone it would probably run about $500.00 for the exhibition grade, 100% figured maple stock after finishing and all. HAPPY :) The only thing i dont like is the Ziess's eye relief is a little too short at 9x.

Son!!

From now on, whenever I buy a lottery ticket, I'm gonna come rub my hand over your post for good luck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got it from a garage sale at a HUGE!!!, fancy, waterfront brick house. The sad thing was, when i was paying for this rifle the guy taking the money said that "i should have been here earlier, there were some really good deals". -tear/cry-:(

Where is the "sickly green with envy" smiley when ya need it ? ?

Scope alone is probably worth more than what ya paid...SUPER DEAL!

everyone seems to be leaving out the fact that the hunk of wood the rifle is sitting in is worth a pretty penny. A stock sized chunk of AA-AAA flame maple is not cheap.

Just ran onto a problem. The action cant be removed from the stock. Im guessing the bedding compound caused a mechanical lock around the recoil lug area. hmmmm...... Try as i might it wont come loose.

great find and a great deal, I don't much like the gold, but hey, if you love it, that is all that matters. Beautiful stock!

I just happened to find something on the floorplate. NNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Its a little spot of rust. I am now depressed. My killer rifle has gun cancer.
