I’m curious to see how “law-abiding” most of us are or claim to be?
Was following a thread on another board that asked would you carry a handgun (concealed) in a state that you did not have a permit for or could not easily get one (i.e. California/New Jersey/NY) ? This assumes you are not a felon and restricted from firearms anyway.
Most posted that they would be law-abiding and not (and a lot were very self-righteous about it). Others posted that it was more important to protect themselves and/or family from a situation regardless of the law. One poster made a point that his duty was to his family and himself and could not live with himself if his family was hurt and he was unable to prevent it (by being restricted by no CCW – due to state laws).
For all of you that will claim to be law-abiding and would not carry – my real question is – What if the government/state decided that no-one should own a firearm and you MUST turn in everything you own. Would you still be so law-abiding and self-righteous?
You may not want to post an answer, but it is something to think about...
