How long should I wait...

...before acting on a non-responding vendor? I purchased an AK part from a guy on another gun site (I rather not mention it or his name, at least, not yet) last Monday, and still have not gotten an acknowledgment. Payment was made via PayPal, so I have some recourse, but I want to get some High-Roader opinion on how long to wait until I act. We're talking less than $50 here, so even if I get stiffed it's not the end of the world, and I want to wait a reasonable amount of time, as he may be off on vacation, ill, or who knows what. TIA.

7 days max, if something came up like death in the family most of the time I think 7 days is plenty.
