I encountered some 7.35 Italian ammo - about 600 rounds for 18 bucks. Nice clean stuff, boxes in great shape. Corrosive of course, but I could deal with it. I figured I'd get some old beat up milsurp and have a good cache setup that I wouldn't worry about.
Next gun club meeting one of the men I asked had a 7.35 Carcano - $50.
I didn't quite injure myself getting the cash out, but it was close!
But there was a problem - - the old beat up milsurp POS Carcano turned out to be a really nice folding bayonet M38 Moschetto per Cavalleria made by Beretta in 1939.
Well I may have lost a cache gun, but I gained a nice shooter!
So far all of the 7.35 has been sure fire, no hang fires, just BANG!
