How many rounds did you load in 2011?

It's been a slower year for me with
500-38spl
700-380 acp
1100-45acp
400- 45 Colt
250ish-8x57
100- 30-30
50-22Hornet
0-357
0-243
0-7.62x39

I keep a log in Excel which is easy to filter and count.

380: 188
9mm: 1577
40: 82
223: 115
38: 145
357: 10
Total: 2117, at least 3/4 of them on my Lee Turret

What are you guys using to keep your records on? I have logs for the ammo I load but nothing to keep track of total rounds or total componets used.

I use an Excel spreadsheet. It's easy to track everything, and can be filtered. If you'd like, PM me your email address and I'll send you a copy.

I do it by keeping track of how many primers I have used (of course the total number of primers is adjusted continuously for primers purchased).

Total # of primers - primers on hand = rounds reloaded.

My logs have the number of rounds loaded in each particular reloading session. So, the number of components is easy to calculate. Not sure why I would want to but if I need it, it is there. I do not keep track rounds fired except for a few rifles I want to keep track of the use on the barrel.

I check my inventory of components on hand periodically to determine when I need to resupply.

I do not keep track of factory ammunition shot except for the rifles mentioned above. Besides, I don't hardly shoot any factory compared to the volume of reloads.

Have not done much handgun shooting in the last couple of years(and I can tell it when I do unlimber a revolver and try to hit something), but have been doing a lot of banging with the .308s. Probably around 1500 centerfire rifle ctgs.

Only got started this year so maybe about 1250 rounds of 38 Special, 100 rounds .357, and 40 rounds of 30-30.

About 1500 of .223
About 300 of 6.8 SPC
Even 100 of 30-06

Did not make any pistol ammo this year. I have a working stock of about 5000 .40 brass for plinking/target. I ran that through between Thanksgiving and Christmas last year and I still have 1400 rounds of that left.

I just started reloading this year.

This year I reloaded the following:

8030 .45 ACP (99% of it was 200gr LSWC)
2500 9mm Luger (99% of it was 124gr LTC)
72 .270 Win (hunting rounds)
1325 .223 Remington (just got my AR a few months ago. loaded up plinking & target rounds)

Not enough - lol

My clean brass count is over 10,000
I've probably got about 8,000 loaded in various calibers.

But I need more $$ for bullets, primers & powder.
I'm guessing the $$ part is the same as most folks. :(

One New Years resolution is to keep count of how much I reload & how much I shoot.

loaded approx 6,000 this year mostly pistol in .40 .38 9mm .357 .44mag .44special the savings in $ is huge. Penn bullets help keep costs down. Great quality with good prices. Everything is bought in bulk. Great hobby!!

I use a large journal that I “acquired” when I was in the Air Force. I can look up what bullet, powder, powder weight, primer and case I used, the number of rounds loaded, the velocity and SD of the load and the date I loaded the rounds.

There have been many times when I got an idea about a terrific new load, only to find out I’d tried it before and it sucked.
It’s good not to repeat your mistakes.

Just started reloading this year in Sept on a Rock chucker.

I've done around 1700. Waiting to get my order of 2000 MO bullets to get started again. :)

I don't know. A lot I think (maybe 10,000+). Wife and I shoot weekly around 100 rounds each of .357 mag handgun ammo. I don't even know how much rifle ammo (not NEARLY that much). I won't even get into how much smallbore ammo/year.

Holy cow!!! Some of you guys sure know how to put the hammer down.

I think I got around 5000 + or -

And I thought I was pounding them.

I just tear off the lid to the 1K count primer carton and throw them in the drawer. Count them at the end of the year.

9mm: 15,000 rounds
45acp: 2,000 rounds
38spl: 1,000 rounds
380acp: 100 rounds
223: 1,000 rounds
308: 50 rounds

These are estimations, but accurate enough. I started casting my own boolits this year, so my 9mm consumption took off.

Numbers:
Shotshells - between 8K and 10K of 12 gauge. A few hundred more 20's and .410s
.45 ACP - 2050.
.30-06 - 200
.44 Magnum - 200
.38 Special - 200.
.223 Rem - 200

Pete

24K 45ACP and another 3K - 4K odds and ends.

I know a few guys that crank out ammo like greedy counterfeiters print bogus bills; easily into six figures.
