When I started loading in 1971, I “liberated” a large journal from the supply room and have kept records of all my loads. That way, when I come up with an idea for a great load, I can check my records and see if I’ve tried it before. Usually, I have and it was no good.

Anyway, I kept a running count every year and as the end of this year approached, I noticed I was getting close to a big round number. This morning, I loaded 204 rounds of 9mm ammo, bringing my total to exactly 200,000 rounds. The average is just over 4,800 rounds per year. Some years, when I was in heavy competition, it was much higher. Other years, when job and family got in the way, it was pitiful.

In the early years, most of the ammo was cranked out using Star progressive loaders in .38 Spl and .45ACP. I sold them as soon as Dillon came along. Dillon is the king, no question.

In handguns, I’ve loaded .38 Spl, .38 Short Colt, .38 S&W, .38 Super, 9mm, .357 Mag, .357 Super Mag, .357 AMP, .44 Spl, .44 Mag, .44 AMP, .45ACP, .45 Colt, 6.5TCU, 7TCU, 7 Int’l, 7 Int’l Rimmed, .30/30, .308 and .35 Remington. There was also a 10MM wildcat I developed in the mid ‘70s on the 1911 platform. There might be others that have slipped my mind.
In rifles, .223, .25/06, 7.62X54R and .358 Norma Mag. I’d buy more rifles, but there’s no room in the safe!

Congradulations on breaking 200k. Not bragging here but I started about 15 years after you and I'm WAY ahead of you. Just think what that number would be if you started out with that Dillon press, like I did.

Congrats!
That's a heck of a lot of rounds.

Now, the question is, do you have all of your fingers & both eyes? ;)

I've been reloading since 2009 & I'm just under 12,000 for this year.
Lifetime I'm at roughly 39,000, so I got a Loooooooong way to go.

I'm too lazy to record and keep track of all my reloads but I sure can appreciate someone who takes the time to do it.
I used to think I might be OCD, but I checked several times a day (between washing my hands and touching all the doorknobs) and I'm not.

Does anyone else hear those voices?

Well, I have been re-loading for over 60 years, I can't even imagine how many rounds I have pulled the handle on, I totally wore out a CH press in the early years and the three presses I have now have been thru a lot of rounds:) I load about 5 to 7k a year now in my later years.
Congrats on hitting the 200,000 mark.

Congrats on hitting the 200,000 mark. I wish I had kept basic numbers on my reloads over the last 35 plus years. I do know that I have reloaded almost 44,000 rounds in the last 2 years but no idea of the total number over the years.

Awesome, congrats! Here's hoping you didn't save a dime but got to shoot a lot more for your money.

I count (actually I just let my spreadsheet-based log count), but I'm nowhere near that. I do everything on a single stage and in about 18 months I've reached just short of 6K, just about enough to know what I'm doing without getting overconfident.
