How many rounds through your xd's?

Is it too late to jump in?

I've put 3000 - 4000 rounds thru my XD40 and about 1000 thru my XD9 without a single failure of any sort.

I have put around 2500 rounds through my XD 9 since I purchased it in January. I haven't had a single failure of any kind so far.

I've had my XD9 (DOB 12/2006) for about a month with 404 rounds, no problems at all. Shooting what's cheapest at the time: WWB, MagTech, Independence, Remington UMC. Not a single failure with any of those. Oh, the four rounds at the end there, they were Speer Gold Dots to test them out. They certainly weren't cheapest . . . ever.

I recently sold my XD9 service to buy an XD45, I had my 9 for 3 years & put 1500 or so rounds through it w/out ever a problem. I hated to sell it, but needed the funds for the new XD45. These guns are a great value, I sold my 9 for not much less than what I paid for it 3 years ago. I ordered my 45, but it is not in yet.

sounds like another happy customer. since i have published the findings there hasn't been a single breakage. why do you guys wait to come out now? :D

I guess I'll keep an eye on the locking block on my XD-40 as well, my pistol is also a 2002 model. Hopefully I won't have any issues with mine.

900 Rounds through XD 9, 8700 Through my G-17

I have not had any issues with factory ammo in my XD9 with nearly 1K rounds through it. It seems to be loose a bit, and does not shoot groups like it did a while back, nor would I expect it to. My other range bag regular is my Glock 17. Have 8700 rounds through it. Replaced the extractor at 5K rounds.

I would still pick up my Glock if the SHTF and I knew I needed one more round to go straight. The fit/feel of the XD is a bit better though.

of course you would, you have almost 10 times the amount of trigger time with the glock.

after 1k you think there is an issue. the only thing that changed with my xd's both of them is the fact that the triiger got lighter and smoother over time, and therefore the accuracy improved. i am very happy with the accuracy of both my service and sc .40's. the sc has over 1000rds and the xd service is at 4230rds. i have seen no degration in accuracy, as a matter of fact the opposite has occured.
