I have a service grade M1 Garand. Unfired from CMP. Of course it has nicks and digs in the stock but everything is sound. No cracks. Metal is in great condition. No pits etc. Barrel looks very clean.
Springfield Armory. I think it was made in 43 or 44.
I don't have the serial number with me right now.

How much can I expect to get out of it?

$595, same as what the CMP charges.

Why should I buy from you, a self-affirmed Nimrod (;)), when I can get one from the CMP for $695 that has their backing and reputation behind it?

ETA: Fixed the price!

Are you selling it? If I were you I would keep it, cant have too many garands, you might regret it latter if you sell it, they are only going to get more expensive.

I'd say you'll easily get what you paid for it and if you're a patient man then you'll probably get more than you paid for it. Around here a CMP Service Grade goes for about $800 at a gun show. (Never understood why . . )

FWIW

Lots of folks don't want to jump through the hoops and order one from the CMP, or they are blissfully unaware of the same.

You'll get more than $600 for it, I'm sure.

Keep it. They aren't making any more of them, and it's the coolest rifle in the world.

Or give it to me for $400. I'll take that old clunker off your hands. :D
