I'm cleaning up some military brass which had been stored in a dry basement for 10 or 15 years. I/ve noticed that a lot of the cases have some light corrosion, some black smears and an occassional fingerprint. I used a dental pick and tried the edges of the corrosion but I don't feel any depth or pitting. WhAT do you guys feel about corrosion?

Discoloration doesn't bother me. Like you said, no depth or pitting. Should be fine.

Usually it cleans up after a few trips through the tumbler and after being resized.

My brass that I neck size only has discolored necks that don't go away.
