On advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer that question on the grounds that my answer may tend to incriminate me. Answering the question would violate my rights under the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Ninth Amendments to the United States Constitution...:neener:

I don't keep track, but between firearms purchases, reloading supplies, and range fees... I probably average $3k+ per year.

Well, since the end of March of this year (when I stated collecting):

2985 - guns
1500 - ammo
850 - safe and cabinet
250 - range fees

5585 total

or 1117 per month...

Good God man, what have I done? ;)

Over the last six month's I have spend about $1500 dollars

Of course were just talking ammo, not the cost of the guns. I've been Firing three handguns, XD 40 SC, XD 45 .ACP tactical, and one Glock 17 9 mm once a week. I fire at least 100 to 150 rounds out of each of them each time I go to the Private Gun Club I'm a member of that costs about $200 dollars year to join. However, yesterday I picked up a 10 mm Glock 20 so I will be spending more getting use to that handgun as well. Thinking about it I might be obsessed with firing handguns. However, the end result is I'm getting very good with each of my handguns.

I can't spend as much as I want to

Since the start of the school year, I have spent
$460 on guns
$45 on range fees
$6 per week (50 rounds of 9MM)

I am a student, so that is all I can afford.
I would like to spend more, but that is all that I can afford at this point in my life.
I also really only have time/$$ to shoot and feed a pistol or two.
A hunting rifle is pretty pointless, as I have no time to go hunting.

OMG
at least you guys with wives have limits on your spending.
My wife is as big a nut as me and probably (ok, definatley) a better shot than me.
hey honey can i buy this?
sure
Quicken is a bad bad thing if you do this.
Last year I spent over 30% of my GROSS on guns/ammo/range fees/training.
That doesn't include gas.
This year will probably be the same or maybe a little more.

So figure 30% to the .gov, 1/2 of what remains to bills and the other half to gun stuff.

Sometimes having a wife into guns isn't such a good thing.
On the plus side we have quite a collection.

ETA, oh yeah, i make good money (xxx, xxx.xx)

If I hadn't spent the money I've spent over the past 5 years on firearms/ammo/training/range fees/etc, I'd be driving this instead of a 6 year old V6 coupe.

However, a significant portion of the value of my collection is machine guns, so they're appreciating in value instead of depreciating.

Honest honey, I don't know how these guys spend that much. It's a buck fifty a week to go to the range. And I can't even remember the last time I bought a new gun.

Honest.
