How much does the Safety Prime speed up turret press production rates?

I average about 85 rounds an hour on my Lee 4 Hole Turret Press. After resizing/decapping I take each round off the press and prime on a Lee Auto Prime II. I then inspect the primed round and put it back on the turret press for the rest of the reloading process.

For those of you who have put the Safety Prime system on your old turret presses, how much did it increase your production rates?

It's not the answer your looking for, but I size/ deprime on my single stage press, then hand prime. I found it way faster than using my 4 hole turret. I didnt care for the primers flying all over the place, while using the turret press. I can load 200 per hour easily using this method. Maybe takes a half hour to size & prime 200 cases.

I am kind of new to the reloading thing but I can do about 5 boxes 200 rounds an hour on my Lee four hole with the Safety Prime. Took a little getting used to but it works great.

I got the hang of the old one fairly well. Honestly, I've discoverd that my throughput hasn't increased a whole lot since I put the safety prime on. However, I think it's well worth it because I don't need to handle each primer - it's far more convenient.

This is precisely how I am set up and very close to my production. I am very happy with the set up and the process. I usually size and prime one week and charge, seat and crimp the next week.

I still am going to install a safety prime on the single stage just for grins and see how it compares for ease and speed in producing primed cases.
