How Much Gun-Related JUNK Do You Have Laying Around?

all i know is ,as soon as i get rid of something i didn't need i buy something i could have used it on !

I guess I'm a piker. The only "junk" I have is most of a box of .45LC that I forgot to give to the guy who bought that POS off of me. It sits there with the thought that maybe one day I'll buy a Ruger Blackhawk or Vaquero convertible .45

Now as for BOOKS, that's another story. I'm always out of room for books and I keep buying more. I forget who said it, but it was something like "Of course you're out of book space. We're all out of book space. If you're not out of space for books you're probably not worth knowing." :D

Not Much. My wife although she's not an anti, doesn't care much for guns. When I buy an issue of Shotgun News or stop at a gun shop shes like what are ,buying /looking at, this for. I know if she went shooting she would love it but....

Two refrigerators full of "stuff".

One for the 5 m1a's "stuff" and the other for all accesories to support the other toys.

Two safes and a closet full of "toys" means lots of "stuff" to support it.

Then there's the garage, ammo? Did you say ammo? Stacked to the ceiling in 308, 45, 9mm plus the reloading equip and all the supporting "stuff" for that venue.

I need a bigger house and garage.

I don't have too much, I mean, a foot locker full of 'stuff' isn't too much is it? I've got holsters, grips, scope mounts, etc for guns I don't own anymore. Heck, I've got a DeSantis leather holster for a Beretta 92 that my dad gave me, and I've never even owned a 92. Anyone want it? You pay shipping, and it's yours.

My ammo supply occupies the entire area under the double bed in the guest room, and the ammocans I keep ready to go in my room (I dont want to disturb Grandma if she's in the guest room when I want to leave for the range) have slowly moved from being up against the wall to almost sitting in the middle of the room (it friggen HURTS when you stub your toe on an .50cal ammocan full of 7.62x39), with a pile of shooting related junk behind them (range bag with CO2 pellet pistol, cardboard target frames for the same, spotting scope, etc). There's a shotgun vest (Walmart had it on sale for $8, so I had to buy it) hanging on my desk chair, which I've never used as I rarely shoot clays. One of the 4x8' workbenches in my dad's shop is covered with all the parts of an AR15, cleaning accesories for the same and my FAL tool kit for some reason. The desk in my room is also covered with shooting related gear, Fobus holsters, 1911 parts, a few manuals, etc.

I've got a lot of cleaning to do before I move back to college next Sunday.

if we were talking pounds of stuff..

well lead bullets weigh a LOT.

As does lead shot. Funny thing is i rarely load shotshells anymore, its just cheaper and less labor intensive to buy them.

I just cleaned out my JUNK yesturday. A "few" boxes and gun magazines are now getting recycled into toilet paper and other unmentionables.

Hutch,

You send me $5 for shipping, and the holster is yours. I don't own a 92, and I don't see me buying one in the near future, so someone who would use the holster might as well get some use out of it.

I need more junk

The main thing I have been looking for for years is a set of dies to cast .411 JDJ slugs. That is some junk I could use, other than that my wife does occasionally ask what all this "stuff" is for, but after I explain it she wants to know when we can use it. (Guess I am a lucky guy!) :D

My father had a saying about holding on to old stuff: You can keep it for 20 years and never need it, but if you throw it out, you need it 2 minutes after the garbage truck came by!:neener:
