I've run into the nasty part of a good supply of ammo, I'm moving, bought a house.
2 daughters volunteered their husbands and an LGS owner owes me a favor so I get his 18 year old son also.
I looked at the stacks of ammo and said, no way.
I'll wait for help to arrive.

In this day and age, when it comes to the ammunitions not enough is never too much, and too much is never ENOUGH!

Only when you can't afford it do you have too much. Imagine the prices in five years, or when serious talk about banning All imported ammo becomes common.

Otherwise, the question can be a philosophical reflection. And sweat produced while moving ammo has the aroma of freedom, as with burned JP-4/Jet A.

You can never have enough ammo. And when I relocated several years ago I moved it all myself; took several trips in my truck (also took it from garage to garage), but the fewer the people that know, the better.

Something as simple as the LGS's son mentioning to his buddies that he helped moved 'this guys truckload of ammo' to one of his buddies and you have the opening to some unsavory character finding out about your stash. Innocent discussion turns into a robbery.

I kind of move heavy things for a living.

Palletized, wrapped and forked is the best way.

Smaller secured packed and dollied is usually the way things get done.

Hauling everything two arms at a time sucks. It would seem better planning would prevent such a laborious undertaking. And, you prolly have too much help. If you have too much brass and lead to manage (or any other large collections for that matter), you might consider liquidating a portion of it for the sake of logical material disposition.

I always like to imagine the guy who has to tend to my collections when I go to glory and hopefully plan accordingly. God bless.

"Enough" and "too much" is totally subjective and dependant upon the individual concerned. IMO. Regarding my own stash, I often think "HTH will I ever be able to shoot all this up?" Yet I still make more. Rarely, I'll buy some milsurp rifle ammo, and I'll buy more .22lr given a chance. I prefer to make handloads and squirrel them away. I make up far more than I shoot, that's for sure! And I still salivate at the thought of bringing home more brass from the range.

But, if you have enough ammo to max out the springs on your pickup, or you have serious problems coming up with storage space for it all, you just might be getting close to "enough". At least for awhile, until you can make a second trip or come up with more storage space anyway!

Oh, and y'all can have that nasty red wine! Yuk. I'll drink a little bit of a lot of things in the spirit of "trying it", but red wine grosses me out. Not fond of white either. No wines classier than Boone's Farm for me, thank you!

You don't know what you are missing until you have a glass of red wine with some warm, fresh baked bread.
