During school: very, very rarely.
During summer/winter break: Every 2-3 weeks.

After graduation (24 days!): As often as I can, probably every 2-3 weeks.

On Mondays - Indoor Range #1 (limited to 45 cal max)
On Tuesdays - Indoor Range #2 (up to 30-06)

Rest of week, pray the shakes go away :p

It's a great addiction!

I belong to theSt. Petersburg Police Pistol Club and go every other weekend or so to shoot hanguns and .22LR rifles. I go to the Manatee Gun and Archery 3-5 times a year to shoot my center fire rifles.
It just ain't enough!

I go once a week and that seems to work well for me. I am always excited when I go, so I know I'm not going too much ;) . I can hardly wait each time I go, so no sense in cutting down, either :) . I was afraid I might be spending too much on ammo, so I bought a .22lr rifle (already have .22lr pistol) last month to save on money :D . Great excuse to buy a gun, eh? Some of the other regulars at my favorite range recognize me now and so I guess I'm a regular there, too.

The original poster mentioned the heat here in Southern California lately - it sure is hot, but I think I will still try to shoot outdoors this summer since a shooting book I am reading says a true (rifle) shooter practices in all weather conditions (but I will have my Gatorade :D ).

Back in yon days of yore, when I lived in the big city, Overland Park, KS, Iwould go out to the Mill Creek Rifle Club like twice a month. I loved to shoot my old WWI Pattern 14 and my Garand on the 300 yd range. Iron sights.

Since I moved down here onto 90 acres in the Ozarks, I built my own pistol range, complete with trap (I cast my own bullets). Sometimes as few as 6 rounds a day, other days with my wife or a friend I may go through 100 rounds. (I figure with casting, reloading and recycling, I can reload a .38 or .45 for less than a nickel a round)

I can shoot my rifles off the deck, 400 yds into a berm. Trouble is my spotting scope isn't that good. It's a LONG walk to look at the target. Hey, a feller needs a little exercise.

Further, any day is a good day to whack squirrels off the bird feeder.

Down here in the woods, gun fire is as common as a car driving by up on the road.

Work hard and someday, you all can be as lucky as me.

I only go a couple of times a year just to sight in over a bench. Mainly because the range is run by the "duck hunters" who have a wimpy rule against rapid fire. They are scared of "evil looking" guns.
