If this has been posted before, I apologize. I searched but couldn't find an existing thread.

Here's a link to a YouTube video of the recording of sounds of firearms for the Call of Duty 3 video game. Looks like they rolled out everything including a tank and recorded the audio. They even got to fire a flak cannon. I hadn't seem operation of some of these guns before. This is as close as I can get to Knob Creek and the like. :(

Great find. I am playing CoD3 at the moment so it's cool to see the range work that went into it. Man do I need to get a new job. :)

Did anyone catch where a guy looks in the muzzle of a loaded rifle?!?!
There is an edit in between the loading and the guy looking down the muzzle, so it could have been unloaded before he took a peep.

Must have had one of those squibs.

My friend is one of the producers of the series. He is a featured character in the new one, as well. However, I have not played the game so I have to take his word for it. I love video games but don't get to play like I should.

I WANT that job. I would really like a chance to play with some of those things...the British Bren LMG, German MG42, whatever those drum-fed MG's on the SAS-Force jeeps, drive a Polish tank, etc.

Game studios sound production values are on par with a Hollywood studio movie production. It is that good. If not better.
It must be fun as hell to be a sound designer for one of those games.
I haven't played a video game in forever.
Swore off video games after an unhealthy addiction to a particular title. Let's just say Viking mayhem can get addictive.

Yes, it could have been unloaded - but Iesus Christ on a pogo stick, you just don't DO that!

That is awesome! I played COD3 on the 360 for all of 2 days before I finished it.
