His and Hers shotguns!
Mine is on the right, it's an 870 Police with an 18.5" cylinder bore barrel with rifle sights, Hogue standard length stock, tacstar sidesaddle, Wilson +2 extension (still shopping for a clamp that fits), Surefire forend, and a cheapo sling. I'll be installing XS Big Dot sights soon, then it will be finished.
My wife has been wanting a shotgun for a while, so I got her one for Christmas! (along with some other things like earings and whatnot, don't worry I've been sleeping in the bed, not out on the couch) She wanted it light, so she has a 20" improved cylinder barrel, no mag extension, side saddle on the buttstock (so that it balances better, and it really does!) and no light again because of the weight.
We went shooting the other day and she did amazing, especially with it being her first time firing a shotgun. She started with low recoil slugs and hit a paper plate every time at 25 yards. After 40 of those she tried the low recoil buckshot but didn't like it because she couldn't tell exactly where she was shooting. We bounced around some plastic bottles for a bit with birdshot and we were done. She didnt' complain about recoil once, not even the next day!
Next will be our romantic weekend getaway, to a shotgun class by Suarez International...
