Is there any way to clean the shipping oil from a new handgun? I just bought another gun and I really would like to get the excess oil off and out of it. Any help?

Shoot brake cleaner (same stuff a Gunscrubber, but 1/4 the price) thru your field-stripped gun. Wipe off any residual stuff. Lightly lubricate essential parts as per the firearm instruction manual. Reassemble and work the action a few times. You are finished.

I've used WD40 as a cleaner on new guns. Wipe dry, then lube.

Will Gunsrcubber hurt a blued finish? Maybe a dumb question, but I rather ask now than...:(

No. It may streak, but this wipes off with a cloth.

The light packing oil is easy to clean off and does not require detail stripping. Heavy grease packed on and in every cubic millimeter and crevice may be another matter.

WD40 is "water displacement, formula #40". It is not a cleaner or lubricant. The main ingredients of WD40 is kerosene, a scent, and propellant.

Kerosene will run into places and gum-up over time. I wouldn't recommend it for any firearms.

I've used break cleaner for about 20 years now in place of Gunscrubber brand. All they do is remove grease and carbon build-up, so you should save your money. I have never had brake cleaner damage steel or plastic or hurt the finish of any pistols/long guns. It will strip the finish from wood grips though, so you need to remove any wood before spraying & cleaning.
