Does anyone have any suggestions on how to hang my pistols from pegboard? I am going to mount a piece of pegboard inside my safe and want to mopunt the pistols to it. TIA!

I use in inside the gun vault we had built in our home. The peg board works well for hanging handguns.

A picture is worth a thousand words. :) Be sure to use plastic coated pegs.

This is also a use for those cheesy $10 nylon holsters at the gun show - you can stick them on the safe interior with Velcro.

TIMC, it looks like you're a man who has his priorities in order and all his bases covered. I like to see that.

And if you can't find any plastic coated hooks, just buy regular hooks and some liquid tape. Apply the brush on liquid to the hooks and voila.... no damage to the guns.

Works like a charm

I took some large (1 1/2") hooks and slipped clear tubing over them, put them about 3-4" apart and hang my guns with the hammer down, like a "V" on a piece of pegboard mounted on the door of my safe, just like you're doing.

The loops help keep the gun in place when you close the door, if you use straight hangers I'd be afraid of the gun slipping off when the door closes and hits the stop.

Watch the movie Tremors, that one character and his wife (played by Reba?) have a nice pegboard setup :D

I have a pegboard in my safe. I use holder made for Drills. They have a rubberized, nonslip coating on them. Found them in the "garage organization" section at Lowes. Work great.

I'm too lazy for all that. I just use a shoe caddy--one of those "over the door" shoe organizers. I have 3 Desert Eagles hanging there among the 15 guns; there's a LOT of weight hanging there. I think I replaced the caddy after about 11 years. They're cheap enough and convenient enough so "more work" just ain't appealing. And they're very sturdy.

Here's an example:

I like the barrel insert idea myself, reduces any remote chance of a hanging up in the trigger guard and having an oops.

Remote possibility yes, but..........
