How to mount a bipod to a Model 12 F/TR

I've been meaning to ask how to do this.

There is a rail and I know that there is some kind of adapter but I can't find anything to make it work. There was nothing in the box for it so...

Harris sells a rail insert with a sling swivel lug on it for their bipods.
That is what I have on mine.
It should work with other brands of bipod with swivel mounts.

I think the 6A is correct for a Savage but you should measure or ask Savage.
