The project my heart is currently longing for is to get into F-class shooting, using a .308. Nothing fancy, probly a Savage 10fp (LE2B, if I think I can get it past my wife; wonderful woman!).
But I'm not able to spring for it just yet. So, I'm going to put a bipod on a 10/22 and 'repurpose' it as a F-class trainer. It's got a 6-24x42 Tasco varmint scope (not great, but functional), a heavy 16.5" barrel and an aftermarket laminate stock that should take to the bipod okay without screwing with the free-floated barrel. The way I figure it, I'll find someplace windy (easy around here), hunker down prone, and learn to deal with it. I just want to make sure the bipod I buy now will be suited to the .308 I want to put it on down the road. The one I'm considering is this one:

Does that look right? 9-13" with swivelly functions and 'leg notches' (?) that I can't actually envision, never having handled one of the things. If that will suffice, I'll get it and a pile of .22lr and it'll be off to the races. Thanks for your input.
