I've bought some nail polish and want to paint the white part of my rear sight to be yellow-green.

I removed the windage screw but something is still holding the sight in. Also is there any trick to removing it, if you can, that prevents springs from popping out?

(Right now the white outline merges with white paper and I'm shooting way right.)

To remove the actual sight blade, hook your fingernail on the sight and pull it to the LEFT against the spring.

Then just tip the RIGHT side up and carefully allow the blade to move up and out.
The tiny spring can be dumped out the right side through the screw hole.

To reassemble, lube everything.
Drop the spring into the sight through the windage screw hole.
Tip the blade and insert the blade's LEFT side down into the base until it catches the spring, then just pull the blade over to the left and push down into the base.

Make SURE the blade has engaged the spring properly.
