How to Renew CCW Now?

I live in Ohio and my CCW is due for renewal in April 2013. I was enrolled in a March CCW Renewal Class, which was required for renewal in Ohio. I got a email from my instructor that: "Effective March 27,2013 House Bill #495 eliminates the requirement that an applicant for renewal of a concealed carry license present certification of competency. Due to this we have discontinued this class." So...does anyone know the procedure for CCW renewal in Ohio after March 27 now???

Same as the first renewal. Go to the Sheriff's office and get it renewed.

Thanks for posting that. I have been trying to find out for months if that has been signed into law, and I couldn't find anything. My second renewal is due in June.

This becomes law on March 27, 2013.

Since two of you were unaware of HB 495, does this mean you are also not aware of the major changes regarding vehicle transportation of firearms, in particular the change in definition of loaded/unloaded?
