I recently added a barrel mounted laser/tac light combo to my Bushmaster AR-15 "AK shorty" which has the origional /traditional round plastic carbine length handguard. ( which ahs a flat and vent holes on the bottom and top)The light came with a plug in remote pigtail pressure switch for momentary operation. I'm wondering how I should go about neatly/cleanly securing the switch to the handguard. Double sided tape? Glue? Something through the vent hole?
Any help appreciated!

Duct tape? Rubber cement? Both won't go anywhere unless you try, but they'll come off if you need them off.

Do you have any picatinny rails? Magpul makes a tapeswitch carrier that attaches along a rail, and a great many vertical foregrips have cutouts to stash a tape switch in.

Sections of different sized bicycle inner tube make good bands for holding down pressure switches. Easy on/off, inexpensive, no residue.

Thanks for the ideas. Guess I was looking for somethign higher tech, Sounds like velcr might be the answer.

Velcro works okay. However, if you do a lot of reflexive shooting the Velcro might not hold. Also, Velcro loses its strength when it gets fouled. I use electrical tape myself. It's cheap and seems to work the best for me.
