How would you CCW this?

I have a Smith and Wesson model 15-4 with a 4 inch barrel. It's slicker than snot, very accurate and I don't think it's to heavy. How would you CCW this revolver? IWB, OWB, and what brand of leather? Pictures would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am still waiting for my Don Hume IWB rig for my Smith Model 10. I saw a nice looking rig at the Marksman II, from The Masters Leather, a nice IWB for a 4" K frame. I have one of thier OWB rigs for my Smith, shoulda bought the IWB at the same time, instead of waiting...

I have seen a M65 4" bbl'd S&W carried in a really nice IWB Milt Sparks Summer Special.

I can't conceal any revolver with a barrel over 3" IWB. It has a tendency to poke through too much. I'd use a vertical Galco shoulder rig, one of the new ones.

Depending on your body style a good pancake style holster should do the trick. Check several makers before you actually buy. Check their websites for catalogs and decide what you like. What works for me or someone else may not work for you. Be careful in a few years you may end up like most of us, a box of different holsters for different guns and purposes. As far as makers go try to stick with quality makers. Today there are so many good makers you should not have any trouble finding what you like.

I would carry that revolver in a DeSantis Speed Scabbard http://www.desantisholster.com/002.html or a DeSantis Thumb Break Scabbard http://www.desantisholster.com/001.html. I carry my 4" S&W Model 619 and 4" S&W Model 686 in a Thumb Break and my 2 3/4" Ruger Police Service-Six in a Speed Scabbard. The picture below is of my 4" M686.

OWB - Milt Sparks PMK or 200AW. The PMK tucks the sixgun a little closer to the body, but the 200AW has a nice flap of leather that keeps the lining of the cover garment off the hammer spur. OWB is my preferred carry method. I do sometimes use an Eagle Industries nylon IWB, that has been discontinued, to carry up to a Ruger GP100. A Milt Sparks Summer Special should work quite well; though I do not have one made for a K-frame-sized sixgun, I do have one for an SAA that works nicely.
