I ask the caller how and how much I am to be paid for my time. The conversation almost always ends right there.

Personal info should not be given to cold callers of any sort, salescritters, surveyors, or beggars.

i don't make a habit of allowing the neighbors to see my guns or my gun cases going to the car and such when i am headed to the range, but if i was called and asked over the phone in a survey i would answer truthfully and honestly.

I think a couple of people have already mentioned this but, you really have know way of know if the person on the other end is really a telemarketer or a thief checking out your house by phone. I’d never answer such a question.

That said, about two years ago DW and I realized that the only people who ever called our land line were telemarketers and bill collectors looking for her youngest daughter. After we got rid of the phone the calls dropped to zero.

It depends on who is calling and the questions they are asking.

I would not go into details or numbers, but I would answer questions like "do you hunt?", "do you own a hand gun?" Much more then that... most likly not.

fools and more

since gun ownership is under attack, why would you stand up to get shot.if you answer yes you are a gun owner that answer is all they need to put you on the list.if you dont let the enemy know how many troops we have he will fall into a trap.if they think we are few they will figure they are winning untill the votes are counted.be smart trap them.:uhoh::rolleyes::(

I would tell them I own 426 firearms, 72 tanks, 3 battleships and 1 aircraft carrier. Then ask them, which one do you want to discuss because my time is valuable. HAHAHA :what:

The Dove

I just ask them if they could hang on for a minute, cause I got something on the stove. Then I put the handset down on the table and continue cleaning my S&W .357 magnum. :neener:

And what if it happends to be your congressmen asking what your stance is about a gun law... They want to know what gun owners think in thier district... opps, I guess they are not going to find out your IMO about it...

I wouldnt mind. I wont hide excercising my rights and IMO people hiding a minor fact of gun ownership is why the libs have fooled so many into anti-@a mentalities

What Survey?

Survey?

Wouldn't know.

I'd have to answer the phone.

I know the phone numbers of my friends, my wife knows the numbers of her friends and clients.

For everyone else, there's voicemail.

How can anyone know whos on the other end of the line?

May as well give them your bank account #s, Social Security #, and especially do give them your address and working hours. cliffy
