I'd like to have a Howa 1500 barrel threaded for a suppressor, I can ship the barreled action.

Any recommendations for a gunsmith who you'd trust to do this right?

I have done several but so has just about every smith in the country with a lathe. Try your local smiths, there is no trick to working Howas compared to other rifles. I would be happy to do the job but the postage would be much more than the job, hence the recommendation to use a local smith.

Whomever you pick, just be certain that he knows to indicate off the bore and not the outside of the barrel. Seems simple, but many supposedly knowledgeable folks don't know/do that.

For a variety of reasons Kp321, it's not all that easy to find a 'smith to do the job around here. I'll PM you about the job.

Correct. I'd be sure to supply the 'smith with the supressor's specifications too. Thread pitch, shank diameter.
