That is a beauty... well worth a little extra coin. I see it's a .44 mag too... how is the trigger for you (is it a recent acquisition or are those older pics)?

At the moment they are about the same price as an H&R or even a tad less The H&R rifles are now worth about twice what they originally were new. The barrels alone are commanding about $300

Thanks.
It's about 4 years old.
Trigger was not too bad when I got it.
It went back to Henry for a recall and they did a complimentary trigger upgrade while it was there that made it even better.

Looks like you're on point there - I was more comparing it to the CVA option new which is under $350 right now. I love me some blued+walnut though - and even at todays elevated prices it's still 1/2 the cost of similar lever repeater. And that's before you even consider the ammo you'd feel inclined to spit out with a repeater. The single shot could pay for itself!

That's great to hear.... I see the recall here https://www.henryusa.com/recall/ Looks like they did indeed improve the trigger. It's still a $200 upgrade over the CVA but my birthday is in April and it's so pretty....

whoops, for some reason I thought you were talking about H&R’s, I had them on the brain I guess

I have the CVA in 350 L it shoot well enough but it does not eject the brass it lifts it about 1/4 inch.
Does the Henry eject the spent brass

No, it is not supposed to eject the brass. And to my knowledge neither does the Henry. My single shot .410 ejects spent cases but generally a rifle is only designed to lift it, not eject.
