Looking very hard at one of these and just wanted to hear the good and bad about this firearm. Is it picky on ammo? Any frequent fte or ftf? Thanks in advance!
Not sure if this will help but I have an Ultra Carry 2. It will feed Ball ammo no problem. But would not cycle a hollow point. Had a few different options to try but decided on a CMP mag. Worked great from then on. Bought a couple more mags for Hollow point carry and have easily put 300-500 rounds thru it without a hic-cup from those mags.
Sorry meant Chip McCormik. But their are other mags out their that they say will work good too. At the time Chip's were the only ones I could find. I also have heard that polishing the ramp will help or solve feed problems also but the mags took care of it on mine.
I had one of those. Had one FTsomething in the first mag, and then it ran flawlessly afterwards, with whatever ammo I fed it. I used Wilson 47D mags in it.
No problems so far...took one in on trade, bought it, maybe 300 rds so far of various reloads and no failures of any kind. Kind of wish it was steel frame, though.
Black. But I painted them with sight paint. I feel I got a really good deal on mine so even if I didnt like it I could sell it for what I had in it for no problem. But it quickly became one of my edc.
One Pro CDP, two Stainless Ultra Carry IIs, one Ultra CDP and one Ultra CDP II.
Each worked perfectly with any/all ammo types and brands--FMJ, JHP amd even my SWC handloads. I still have one of the Stainless Ultra Carry IIs, and the wife still has the Ultra CDP II.

I am interested in this as well. I am thinking about getting a Kimber compact CDP ii. The price is a little higher than I would like to pay but I have heard good things about Kimber and the gun is extremely appealing to me. I have never owned a Kimber but I will drop a grand on one if I think I wont be disappointed.
