Here it is...

My 1300 and I engaging hostiles (gallon water jugs) with slugs at 50 meters.

Just playing around :D

Your arms are skinny.

Just kidding. Looks like fun. Is that guy behind you photoshopped out or is he wearing a mask? And why do you guys wear T-shirts when there's snow on the ground? You'll catch your death of cold.

Yeah I know I need to hit the gym :( ...it's a New Year Resolution.

I live Colorado (now) and they have snow in the Mountains but beautiful sunny days.

I blacked my buddy out 'coz I didn't ask his permission to post the pick

HS/LD.

Yup, another shotgun junkie's born(G). Anytime one will stand outside in a T shirt in the snow and perform an activity one isn't compelled to do, it's an addiction, an obsession or both.....

One suggestion....

Your stance is good for shooting lighter loads, but better response and shorter shot to shot recovery times will result if you bend your front knee and lean into the shot more. Try it and see.

You should try shooting clays. Bit more of a challenge than those pesky attack milk jugs, but no less dangerous.

Don't sell those clays short. I've seen more than one guy shed blood being hit with a clay shard including me. Always wear eye protection. A hat's a good idea for skeet and any other game with incoming targets.

Of course, the biggest threat from clay targets is to your financial health but that's another issue.

I actually said:
There is NO point to a sling on a HD SG.
Remove it at home.
Replace it for the field.
Regards,
HS/LD

You did notice that we are "out in the field".

So there actually is a point to having a sling on a HD shotgun...

Albeit, only when said HD shotgun is outdoors, and ceases to become a HD shotgun.

Mine, while outdoors:

Indoors, it looks the same, sans bayonet and with tightened-up sling. Saved my bacon on two home-invasion attempts.

Hey I recognize that shooting range!
Where did you set up that was 50 meters out? I remember pacing out the distance to the hill as 35-ish.

Re slings.....

No HD shotgun should have one on for the reasons given, when it's employed as a HD shotgun.

But, ALL HD shotguns are also Community Defense shotguns, because we ALL are the militia. SO, all HD shotguns should be sling capable.

Many HD shotguns are used for hunting, and a sling sure makes dragging that venison out or handling a couple dozen decoys lots easier.

So make sure your HD tool has the studs, and a sling set up near it but not on it.

And, an 870 is what all 1300s want to be when they grow up(G)....

Sling came in handy during one of the above-mentioned robbery attempts...

The 870 and the sound of it's racking kept our sliding door window glass from being broken in and the aftermath. While the wife's frantically dialing 911, an arriving Sacramento County Sheriff's deputy got into a scuffle with one of the group trying to bust into my home. He was trying to handcuff the guy, who broke loose and was rolling in the hardpan, reaching for the deputy's Glock. I watch this fight in disbelief, so I ran out the patio door to the yard. My 870, pointed squarely at the gang-banger's head, and me screaming "Stop! Don't Move!" stopped the fight. Which was good, the cop's bell got rung in the scuffle, his Glock was halfway out of the holster, and he needed my help to get the now-handcuffed big perp on his feet and on his way to the black Chevy Suburban that had driven up out of nowhere onto my front lawn. (Drug Unit) Glad to have a sling on the gun, so I could shoulder it and help Mr. Deputy Sheriff. Wish I had a digicam that day. And my home-defense shotgun has never been without a sling since then, nor will it. Granted, a lot of things could've gone wrong that day, but didn't, and I'm still alive. I'd like to think the 870 had a small part in that.

I was right about those 1300s, wasn't I?:D Speaking of slings, the Defender comes with the studs already in place. Pretty darn handy. Plus, the Tru-Glo sight is a helluva great thing. It's fast and handy. And if it breaks, the brass bead is underneath it. It's like having a spare tire. I haven't even gotten into the speed of the pump yet!! (But those who know me as Reverend Kevan of the First United Church of Winchester Defender have already heard it at least ten times now. :D )

Looks like we have two schools going now: Far ahead in front is the venerable Dave McC Remy 870 "school" and just forming and growing in number is the "HS/LD ( he shoots like Dave) Winnie 1300 school. Now let the world acclaimed leader - Dave McC Remy 870 group show us some of their own action pictures.

Hunter, our flatbed scanner is history, so Son will have get some new shots with his digital.

Not two schools, just Ford vs Chevy....
