I bought a stock that had been trimmed for Badger DM kit, but it was only done about into the job and then the guy that did it, stopped.... I want to go back to the remington BDL setup, the action still fits great, the bottom metal still fits flush with the stock, the material around the bottom metal is trimmed .125" to .062"... It all fits together and still works great, but it is a little unsightly to look at the underside of the rifle.... Should I use JBweld or ColdMetal type A B epoxy to fill it in? and use the BDL metal as a form, with auto wax like in bedding a rifle????
also, how do you remove the Recoil pad from the PSS stock?... Im used to 2 small holes that have a screw in them, but this looks to be glued....
After I fix it up, going to paint the stock Sand/FDE (dark Tan) or OD green when done, to make it look uniform over the repairs...
anything helps, thanks- Ian
