Horsey would you be my guide. Heck I thought this was a Mule Deer. Now that you mention it. They find a lot of those Jackalope up around Douglas, Wyoming. Did you ever see my "Lawn Ornament" he looks scruffy. He beds down in the thistle behind the house. He is a youngster. Is that a quarter horse? These Cowboy things always confuse me.

This is a mule deer, albeit young, but good for her first hunt IMAG0954.jpg The quarter horses tend to not have extra headgear, that is either a reindeer or a bicorn (dual powered unicorn). With such exotic lawn decor it's no wonder you took the jackalopis ginormous so handily!

Honestly, yes I did, he was just trotting down the highway just this side of Newcastle, scairt the bejeesus outta me and my co-driver! Almost didn't see him till it was too late! Our prairie dogs have enough courtesy to stay under 12" IMAG0984.jpg

I hauled a Jackalope out of the Glenrock area myself !

Its been a good season so far. Had a trip back to England for a hunting trip with my mate using single shot rifles. Total for 6 days hunting 13 deer and a fox. The roe buck i shot on my own ground at home with my Merkel combi. Had a trip to Portugal before Christmas on the driven boar and shot a couple of boar. The duck and pheasant season was good and may squeeze in a couple more hunting days on the pheasants before the end of January. Off to Portugal for 2 weeks mid Febuary for Montaria, Driven boar and deer

Hunting season is about to end.
We'll be hunting these in about 90 days!
The top pic is Hen of the Woods. Delicious fall mushrooms.
The bottom two are morels from spring 2016.
Mushroom hunting is yet another way we enjoy our woodland property.

I love mushroom hunting about as much as deer hunting.

WOW, never seen anything like those top two! No mushrooms down here.

Don't forget your permethrin.......the ticks will be warming up, too.

Regards,
hps
