I live in Minnesota. Northeastern MN has lots of public land available to hunt on. Get a Minnesota Atlas & Gazeteer, which should be available at most larger bookstores or sporting goods shops. Then hop in the car and spend the day exploring. it's great fun. You might also consider getting a plat map of an area you've narrowed down. Good Luck!
That's good advice you're getting from MinScout there killzone.
Head over to your local sporting goods emporium and pick up a copy of the Minnesota Atlas & Gazeteer - loads of useful information and extremely helpful finding places to hunt public land.
I used to live with my grandfather in Cass Lake MN years ago. Cass Lake is in the Chippewa National Forest, a HUGE chunk of land available for hunting. From what I understand, Cass Lake also has a casino now so if the hunting is slow.................
It is right on hwy 2, 12 miles east of Bemidiji.
