Hunting With Classic Firearms

Every so often I get the urge to hunt cottontails on a winter afternoon. As often as not, Grandpa's Winchester 62A goes with me. Its of course a joy to carry, and still puts food on the table.

Classic? I've got a Mossberg bolt-action shotgun that I'd like to use for turkeys someday, I kind of think of it as a classic. I wouldn't mind a bolt action in .410 too. When I got it at age 18 I wanted one in every gauge :D My Remington 740 is definitely a classic!

Old? Heck, some of my guns are 5 times my age. 7x57, 6.5 Carcano, 8x57, 7.63 Argentine, 7.5 Swiss... I'm going to have some tough choices to make come deer season.

My go to rifle is my late-grandfathers Remington 721. I have newer rifles, but I have loads dialed in for this one, its comfortable to carry, and just works. I love it.
