I’ve got to stay out of the shops.

Yesterday my buddy and I hit a local show. A show I never cared for. Too much jewelry, sausage, cheese, hats, shirts etc.
I go to a gun show to see guns, ammo, reloading stuff. But I digress.
We take our first orbit around and one dealer had a bunch of nice desirable revolvers.
Old school, yeah I know. Me too.
I spotted a darn near mint stainless 6” Security Six for a good price ($450 OTD)
no box or papers but no matter. It would have been nice, but.
This dealer said he had bought out an estate of 61 guns and had them priced to move. He sad he’s sold about 25 that morning.
A Colt 1903 for $450, a 2 Gen. Dick Special for ~$475, a Smith 25-2 in the box with the accessories for $895.
My buddy picked up the 2 Smiths. 366E9811-0486-4C75-ACA9-D6365F2E2A8A.jpeg

You've done good, real good!

At those prices he wasn't kidding when he said he really wanted to move them!

I would have also been highly tempted with either of the two Colts (depending on what kind of shape they were in) but the Ruger is definitely a solid choice too!

I would need a chiropractor to line my bones back up because my wallet would have been yanked out of my pocket so quickly had I spied those buys! Congratulations to you and your friend on some great deals!

When you get a chance to exercise your new Ruger let us know how it shoots for you. :)

Stay safe.

I was tempted by the Dick Special.
The 03 Colt was already sold.
I didn’t have the dough to buy the Ruger but my buddy lent it to me.

In that case I would have gone with the Detective Special!
