I am enraged. There is no exclamation point after that brief three word sentence, I mean it seriously. I do not need to highlight my feelings with any hype, even as trivial as an exclamation point. This is not the usual sort of rage into which I can all too often fly such as when another driver flips me the bird as he cuts me off while in terrible rush hour traffic and makes me explode like an erupting volcano. It is not the type of steaming almost helpless rage, when I am not able to erupt for fear of losing my job, as when a boss with less practical job experience than a rookie chews me out for doing something right. It is not the sort of rage, like molten lava as it silently runs down the mountainside on its path of destruction from the otherwise seemingly dormant and lush volcano, that I experience when I realize that my employer, the U.S. Government has shortchanged my pay by over $700 with no good explanation and no sign they are willing to correct their error. Nor is it the type of enraged protectiveness of a parent with a child as when one of my kids gives me a face full of 'they know better than me' when all I was trying was to assure they grow up to become healthy, educated, responsible and, respectful law abiding members of society.
No this rage is different. This rage is one that will have me writing to my elected representatives in the House, in the Senate and, all the way up to the President of the United States. It is a rage that will determine how I vote in the future. It is a rage that will shape how I view my government for years to come. It is the rage of an American Citizen who has had enough of the political bull chip tossing at the expense of the citizenry and, at the expense of the United States of America herself. Yesterday I heard, in the news, that the United States of America will, by the year 2008, require all of its citizens to show proof of citizenship when returning across the borders from Canada and Mexico. According to quoted politicians, this will be a major method by which to combat terrorism because it will make it more difficult for terrorists to cross our borders from Canada and Mexico. Are you mad yet? If not, why not? You too should be enraged! (Whoops there it is, that dreaded exclamation point.)
Do you realize that not all that long ago, while running for reelection, the president of the United States (a guy for whom I voted), as well as his opponents, told the American public that they were all in favor of either some sort of amnesty or reprieve for all illegal aliens from Mexico. Note I did not say illegal immigrants. I said illegal aliens instead of illegal immigrants because the term immigrant implies that someone has actually come into our country legally with the intention of staying here and adapting to our customs, our values, our morals, our laws and our way of life. Did you just see that, I said to “our laws’. So, if someone’s first act upon entering the United States is an illegal one, the fact that someone actually entered illegally, then how would or could anyone, of decent character and morality, ever consider that person an immigrant? No they are illegal and they are alien. They should be removed from our land as swiftly as possible as we would remove any parasitic vermin from our homes. Instead of removing them, our president proposed that we allow them all to have amnesty so they could all remain in our country to earn a living. I wonder, why is it they cannot earn a living in their own country? I also wonder why anyone would, even for a moment, believe their presence here will benefit our country when their presence in their own country has done little to nothing to benefit their own homeland! Why is it their own president is so eager to have them come to the United States. Why don’t they improve they do some nation building in their own nation? Most likely it is simply because they are incapable of doing so – just as they will be incapable of improving the United States of America. Yet our president, in one of his greatest unabashed political blunders has welcomed them to the United States as hard working and poor souls. Therefore, hundreds of thousands, if not millions of aliens from Mexico may be allowed to remain in the United States after having entered without presenting legal documents of any kind, let alone a valid U.S. passport. Yet, now we citizens of this great republic will be required by law to provide proof of U.S. citizenship in order to enter our own land from the very same country south of the border from which came all those illegals who may soon be granted amnesty. I certainly hope you are as enraged as I am.
So what does this amount to? It amounts to a mockery of all United States Citizens and of all the legal immigrants within our borders and, of all those who have remained in Mexico hoping to someday come here legally. Why you ask? Because illegal alien Mexican citizens will have more rights within the United States of America than do American Citizens or legal immigrants. They will have been allowed to break the law while the rest of us have been more burdened by it. It amounts to a mockery of the criminal justice system. Why? Because it amounts to a mockery of the Immigration and Nationality Act and, it amounts to a mockery of the Congress whose members legislated those laws, and of the president who signed them into law and most of all; it amounts to a mockery of every Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement Officer and every member of the U.S. Military who ever jeopardized (or lost) his or her own life in order to protect the sovereignty of this great nation. Why? Because without sovereign borders there can be no sovereign nation.
Sure it is a great thing to require everyone to present proof of citizenship when they enter the United States of America. The sad thing, the outrageous thing, is that United States Citizens and legal immigrants will be compelled to do so while those who have already snubbed their legally dirty noses at our laws will continue to violate the same. They will benefit from their own lack of respect for the law. They will benefit from our own politicians’ lack of respect for those same laws, and from their lack of respect for those who enforce the laws, and for their lack of respect for those whom the law protects (you and me). So I say, wake up citizens of and, legal resident immigrants within, the United States of America – the time has come for us to realize that the time is right for a major change in our way of doing business in protecting our nation’s sovereignty and, protecting our way of life. Our dreams, the American Dream needs to be saved.
Just as the illegal aliens dare to illegally cross our borders, will you now dare to become outraged and cross borders? Will you dare to cross political lines, to cross racial and ethnic lines, to cross the boundaries of religions, to cross the sexual divide, to join together in one voice? Do you all dare to speak out in one voice telling the politicians in Washington, D.C and in the rest of our nation to wake up, to think, to be logical, to forget about politics for a little while, to care only about the welfare of our country and her people and, to stop the flow of illegal aliens who are trampling our borders, our laws, rights and our dreams as law abiding United States Citizens and legal immigrants.
A nation without borders cannot be a nation united, nor even can it be a nation divided, because ere long it only can be a nation trampled under foot of its invaders. You can then rest assured our conquerors will enforce the new borders that they have formed and, they will do it at your expense. Wake up, take action, take back the United States of America.
Write to your elected officials, demand that they protect the borders of our nation and, demand that they rid us of the plague of illegal aliens who have infested our great land.
