"Just got back from the range (spring valley ohio). A guy there just bought a smith and wesson 460 and was shooting it for the first time. For some reason he was trying to hold it like a rifle when he shot it. I am still not sure what happened but the scene was gruesome, the only thing I could see on his left hand was his thumb everything else was charred and gone. I have been shooting for 18 years and never seen anything like this before. As far as how long you have to keep a firearm before you sell it, I would contact a local gun shop in your area and ask them. I have the raging bull 454 and love it. It is very accurate but I can't shoot more than 10 rounds without it hurting my hand."
I shoot there almost every Sunday!!!
When it comes to time limits on ownership, IN OHIO there are none that I have ever been made aware of, and I have asked the same question more than once.
In NM, you may want to check with your State Attorney's Office for more information, but USUALLY.... If you do not have the intent to buy a weapon for another party who is unable to buy the weapon, you are OK. Especially if it is special-ordered and you just don't like it or have decided that you no longer need it, etc..
Once again, this is for Ohio, and I am most definitely not an Attorney.
