I am starting to see a few good deals

Can a "good deal" also mean -- Instead of a Lower price -- Better quality .308 ammo at today's normal "second-world"... prices?
Today it was the lowest-priced brass-cased .308 ammo on Ammoseek. Normally we see only ammo which is "Reman"/remanufactured, or from the Philippines, Turkey etc at the lowest price for 'brass' .308.

---- but manufactured in Switzerland? It's made there in the "CH" (their official Latin abbreviation), not outsourced. Seems to have plenty of good "non-commercial" reviews.
There's no other brass .308 ammo coming out of "western" Europe into the US, at least not at the lowest prices.

---For roughly the same price/round, some recent Turkish .308 has suffered some ruptured cases (I have no info on the various guns' headspace). I simply want ammo which is a decent value and safe.

Interesting that the SalTech is a military style cartridge with crimped/sealed primer and sealed bullet, but no NATO acceptance mark.

Yikes, those are pretty brutal reviews, mostly 1 star reviews. It also seems the literacy skills in this country are astonishingly bad......

I have had probably thousands of issues of CTD over the last 15 years, but I've always been able to find ammo and shooting gear cheaper elsewhere, especially these last few years. There aren't many deals to be had from CTD in my experience, unless you're looking for some military surplus items, there are better places to shop from.
This is interesting and useful information. I have bought a lot of stuff from them, and never had any problem, but I haven't bought anything in probably 5 years....looks like their customer service has gone way downhill.

Savage30L: That was meant mostly as an exaggeration. But anybody who delays a desired, justifiable purchase faces the chance of a very unanticipated gun or ammo panic.

What is an "old cannister of unique"?

CTD was home of the $99 50 round box of 9mm FMJ range ammo during the COVID show. Depending on your viewpoint, that can either be a shining example capitalistic supply and demand, or just blatant price gouging to take advantage of unprepared shooters.
IMO, there is no such thing as price gouging. If you do not want to pay the going rate, then do without.

There do seem to be some reasonably decent deals out there these days.

I say the same. But ctd canceled outstanding orders as "out of stock" and resold at the new gouged price. Thats dirty.

Not saying I won't buy from them of I see it cheap enough..... but ive passed over them to pay a bit more elsewhere for the last 15 or so years.

Yes, mine is Hercules also, but not quite that old....
That one won't get loaded. It was part of a lot of random stuff. No clue how old. I've shot old powder in metal jugs lately.....but it would be hard times before I shot that one. Lol. I have several jugs of much newer.
