I am the only one here professional enough to SUE! (Idiot DEA Agent update, merged)

This guy really is amazing!! I can't believe he has the nerve to sue his own employer for for a video leaking out. If I did something like this at my work they would have still shots posted all over the place and I would never hear the end of it till the day I died

I find three things interesting about this:

1. odd thing: I have seen two videos. One is granular, and one was very clear. The one linked off smoking gun is the granular, from the left-side video. The other is from the very back of the room, slightly to the left of center-of-room. In the second, you see two kids clearly get out of their chairs when Officer Paige reaches for the rifle. I don’t know if its just different edits, but they sure looked to be different videos.

2. amusing: I love the kids at the end…”Put it down!” Smart kids.

3. sad: he alleges that this video is being used by white supremacist groups. That is very disheartening, but to be expected. I suppose all white folken are perfectly safe with THEIR firearms.

sad: you just assume this jacktard is telling the truth after (1) shooting himself in the foot after saying "I'm the only one ..." and (2) suing his employer for the totally predictable results of his own arrogance and stupidity and (3) burnishing his filing with so much buncombe it reeks through a glass monitor.

Yes, I s'pose all white folken are just unreconstructed racists.

he alleges that this video is being used by white supremacist groups.
I can't stand the phrase "white supremacist" because it presupposes that whites are the ONLY ones who think their culture is the best. No one calls Aztlan a "supremecist" group even though it is.

This guy reeks of typical arrogance of so called federal "law enforcement." Kick the feds the hell out of your state, re legalize plants and substances for citizens over 18 and watch peace return to this nation. Prohibition part II (A.K.A. the war on americans posssessing certain drugs) should have been gone years ago. What has happened to americans? They saw how stupid prohibition part I was within a few short years.

I echo the call that this video be used in every gun safety class forever more!!! :what:

Since 1934 and definitely since 1968, the federal government has considered itself the "only one professional enough to handle" firearms.

How bout how this guy contradicts himself:

1st he says don't play with guns,

then he glorifies thugs from the worst of black culture like "fitty cent" and "too short" by saying "all uhbm talk about a glock forty."

He essentially says, "these boyz who I know you think are cool, all have a glock forty."

Also, I can't believe anyone would think this would be fodder for the antis. The brady-holes will run from this like dracula seeing the cross. This video kills their whole argument about "police being the only ones" blah blah. The NRA should put the video on their website and issue a major press release to jam it in brady's face. Up till now, all we had to display the incompetence of "law" enforcement with guns, was the waco/ruby ridge murders.

A couple points...

I beg your pardon if someone has said this before but:

Guns are not in any way racist...they will give equal opportunity to any and all morons, of whatever ethnic background, to shoot themselves in the leg, foot, or elsewhere, if you mis-handle them or otherwise do your best to ignore rule #1: always treat all guns as if they are loaded & ready to fire...

If this guy is truly representing himself in this so-called suit, then the old saying really is true: a man who tries to represent himself as his own lawyer has a fool for a client...but it's not as if we didn't know that already!!

And such arrogance to proclaim himself the only one professional enough to carry, while in a state with shall-issue concealed carry!

Do you have a link to the clear version?

Edit:
BTW did anyone else notice him saying, "I'll probably never be able to show guns again." He says it right before he tried to show the next gun.

Pretty much goes against what he claimed in his suit:

"As a result of the notoriety arising from the disclosure of the videotape, Mr. Paige is no longer permitted or able to give educational motivational speeches and presentations."

I think he shot himself in the foot with that one! :p

While the filing...

might suggest he is doing this without a lawyer, in his appearance on the Today show on 4/14 he was sitting next to a person who was identified as being his lawyer.

I, along with others on this Board, saw the original video several months ago. Up until the Today Show broadcast yesterday morning, I never knew the guy’s name. Couldn’t have identified him on the street if my life depended on it.

Yes, his arrogant stupidity was broadcast over the Internet (name withheld). But, courtesy of his highly questionable lawsuit and appearance on national television, we now all know him as LEE PAIGE.

Good move, Mr. UNDERCOVER MAN.

And yeah, after that sorry display, I can’t imagine why his career might have taken a bit of a hit…

I have to say he seemed to take it in stride indeed,he just kept on talking like nothing happened. I bet that had to hurt alot LOL I have friends that are police that coulden't figure out how to fire my 1911(they coulden't figure out how to flip off the thumb safety) it just makes me wonder is all. I'am not saying I'am a pro but I've had proper training with firearms and I ALWAYS obey the rules of gun safety, and I can tell you with absoulute certainty that I would not have shot myself in the foot with a glock having owned several of them in the past. It just goes to show you a person who carrys a gun as part of ones profession isn't always a professional with a gun.

In my local newspaper today this storied article stated his comments from the Today Show sometime this past week. The article said he shot himself in the thigh (I didn't see the video). Plus here's the real kicker: He said (or his excuse) was he previously had removed the magazine earlier to clean the gun and it went off since it was still loaded.............. He needs to learn to learn how to clean a pistol properly. Step one, make sure firearm is unloaded........ What a dope and I don't feel for him.

Natural selection is an equal opportunity thing.
Dumb is dumb regardless of race, creed, color, age, sex or nation of origin.

Seen more than one blue on blue situation with the DEA in the past so a self inflicted gunshot just shows this agent to be more efficient than most, he can do with 1 man what usually takes at least 2.

If he didn't want to look like a complete idiot in front of the world he should have stayed in bed that day.

.....claiming that his career has been crippled and he's become a
laughingstock due to the embarrassing clip's distribution.....

Too late. it has been revived on Fox News, perhaps DUE TO the lawsuit!
Shudda quit months ago when he was only a little behind. His career
has been crippled because what he did was laughable.

"I am the only one in this room professional enough to .... "

His line has been used to ridicule law enforcement by everyone with
an ax to grind against LE. Perhaps LEOs ought to sue him for defamation
of a profession.

His colleagues are . . . . Larry, Moe and Curly Joe.

After something like that, the best thing to do to save what dignity and
credibility you might have left, is to say "Boy, I did something dumb.
Learn from my mistake," and laugh along with the rest of the world.
The worst thing to do is sue when you are your own victim.

In 40 years, I hope shooters still point to this guy as a person to be rideculed and laughed at.

 Has anyone heard whether this guy (Lee Paige) is still employed by the DEA? Or whether his farcical lawsuit has been shot down for the dead duck it is?

It has been a few months ... it's an election year ... Who knows, lightning could strike and sanity could return. I suppose "classic" would be if this fool were to still be employed by the gov't.

I still wonder why no parents sued HIM for probable hearing damage of the kids nearby. That'd be an easy win.

I have to say he seemed to take it in stride indeed,he just kept on talking like nothing happened.

Yes, because carrying on in a fit of machismo when you might well have severed your femoral artery is just as "professional" as ND'ing your Glock.

"...claiming that his career has been crippled and he's become a laughingstock due to the embarrassing clip's distribution..."; he should amend to "international laughingstock!

What did he expect, the Nobel Prize :) ?

He'll win...

I bet the Feds will settle this suit and give this guy a potload of taxpayer money. Maybe two potloads. Plus disablility for being injured on the job.
