I bought a S&W 3914 today!

Just in time for summer I walked into my local gun shop today and walked out with my new summer ccw, a S&W 3914.

It's in mint condition and and I love how slim it is so I think it will make a great ccw. I really like the overall feel of the gun and the trigger is smooth and comfortable. I haven't shot it yet but hopefully I'll get a chance to this weekend.

As soon as I picked it up I knew I had to have it and the price seemed pretty reasonable at $350. Now I just need to find a good holster for it and a few extra mags. I also want to put some night sights on it eventually.

The 391X models are my favorite S&W autoloaders, in a virtual tie with the M&P. As you note, they are very light and slim. This makes them comfortable to carry IWB, actually more so than the M&P. I had a beautiful 3913 LadySmith that unfortunately was a casualty of the economy. I hope its new owner likes it as much as I did.

I have had a few 3913's and one 3914. I agree that they are nice for carry but don't shoot your 3914 too much. I had problems with the blue coming off the frame where the slide runs on it. Since its an alloy frame its not a normal blueing and will wear off rather easily.

Nice pics of your Smith. I just got a 3913 last week, (identical except for the finish.) I was actually hoping to find a 3914, but this will do for now.
