Bought a new Shield today in 9mm. Really like the feel of it so far. Fits my hand nicely. Trigger even feels decent. Going to wait until I shoot it some and dry fire it for awhile before I make a final determination on the trigger........

Will let you know how it shoots as soon as I get a chance, weather permitting this weekend........

Now I need a holster and maybe an extra mag or two.

If you have a IWB or OWB holster for your Shield, I would like to see a pic of it if I could. Does not have to be attached to our body, but would like to see what they look like with the gun beside in inside the holster.

Also interested on where is a good place for a few extra mags.

The Shield should be popular enough that some LGS should be starting to stock some holsters for it. I hope.........

I just hate to spend money on things to try, find out they don't work right for me, then have to sell at a discount.

Thanks for the recommendations so far. Keep them coming.......

FoxX Hybrid Holster

This is what I carry my Shield .40 inside the waistband. It is very comfortable after a week of carrying it. I compare IWB carrying to when I first started wearing contacts, the first few days my eyes were really sensitive to having contacts in, and I could really feel them in there the whole time, but after a week of wearing them it went away and I can't even feel them anymore. This is much the same for me with my Shield in the FoxX holster, sometimes I really forget its there. I carry it at 3-4 o'clock, and it is very comfortable.

If you do get the FoxX holster I would upgrade to their Kydex Low Profile Clips, the metal standard ones tear things up that you brush against (i.e. seats, counters, etc). And make sure you use thread lock on the screws holding the clips on, as they work themselves loose.

the Foxx Hybrid Holster looks great. I use the aliengearholster which costs ONLY $29. But don't let the low price fool you. It honestly looks more like a sacrifice sale to me. The quality is excellent and comes with "lifter fittings" of different sizes to adjust the tightness of the kydex to the gun itself. It's my daily IWB holster for my Glock 19.

Most LGS have Shield holsters.
You have to decide if you want Leather of Kydex.
I got a leather one from a local at one of the gun shows for mine.

BTW the gun will smooth out a bit after shooting it.
Make Sure you clean it WELL before firing! Lots of grease from the factory. M&P's like to be clean to shoot well. With some practice they will give you great accuracy as well and tend to eat anything you load them with.

enjoy your pruchase. I have!

Oh saw you are looking for Mags as well.

Gunbroker and Ebay always has some. Make sure you know a reasonable price though!
I think I got my extras from Brownells or ???, I know I picked up one at Cabela's as well (on sale!).
There should be plenty of places selling them online these days.

Mine rides in a kholster just fine. I ask why pay more when this works well? Also, he was doing a 15% off deal that may be running still.

FYI, from the foxx website:

Once you try one of my foxX Holsters, you will agree that it has all the elements you are looking for, comfort and concealable in a well made product. Each foxX Holster carries a LIFETIME warranty! If it fails you in any way, send it back for a full repair or replacement free of charge!

I stand by the foxX Holster, so I encourage you to try it for 2 weeks. After that time if you are unhappy with it in any way, send it back for a full refund.

I'd be surprised if you got one and sent it back. I had a dsesantis softtuk and the foxx hybrid is miles more comfortable.

Ditto on the break in. After less than a week of carrying with the foxx, I don't even notice it. I would agree about the clips. Ill be ordering the kydex ones soon.

Give the Remora a chance

My Shield 40 sits in one as an EDC

Extremely comfortable, and it just doesnt slip......

I appendix carry and just recently picked up this new Blade-Tech for my Shield
Klipt Revolution IWB holster.
I have to say the Klipt is excellent, perfect fit, coverage and retention. The holster itself is extremely thin and light without feeling chinsy, its very well made. A nice touch is that the muzzle end is "lipped" which protects the muzzle end of the gun.

Versa carry, or Remora, you can use the Remora you can pocket carry that gun, or stick it in the waistband with the Remora

I have 3 IWB holsters, and two pocket holsters for my shield, but the PJ's IWB is easily my favourite.

Check out Aegis Armory. I bought one for my Ruger LC9 and it is VERY comfortable. I'm not sure if I like that style of holster when it comes to trying to put it on, but once its on it is excellent.

I have whichever clip they offer that goes around the outside of the belt, not the j-clip. But I got my holster in brown, so it doesn't stand out against my belts too bad.
