This is what it asks the Obama administration to do:

Set the example for the gun owners in this country -

To lead by example and issue an Executive Order to the Secret Service and armed divisions of every federal agency except for DOD to immediately stop using all weapons and magazines that would be banned under the legislation the president supports.

The president says these weapons of war have no place on the streets of America. Unless the administration is at war with the American people it doesn't need them any more then the public does.
Created: Jan 16, 2013

I think it would get some media attention if we got enough signatures to force them to answer it. I would love to expose their hypocrisy even more.

Please sign it and spread the word:

I broke down and created an account at We the People

And I became the second person to sign your petition. Let's stand together now.

Fourth to sign.

And I normally don't like to be grammar police, but I thought I'd mention it just because it is something half-way official that might be viewed by both a large number of people and some form of white house staff. Of course it might not matter because perhaps you can't change the petition after you have made it, as I'm sure they don't want you suddenly making a change that might alter the original meaning that people have signed off on, but anyway, I think it should be "than the public does" instead of "then". My understanding is that then is used when referring to the order of time and than is used to make comparisons. Yeah I know it's super nit-picky but given the forum I thought I'd mention it. Sorry. But hey I still signed it right?

It now apparently takes 100,000 signatures to get a response. Appears they have raised it to not have to answer.

Signed. Yes, I read an article today that stated that they raised the necessary signatures to 100k in 30 days.

I read that they raised it to a million signatures. The White House does not want to hear your petitions unless it is on his agenda.

#39. Let's get out the vote on this one. If nothing else, for grins.

I too would like to see the media pick this one up.

They didn't like the rules for the signatures needed so they changed the rules. Go figure. Once the petitions start hitting 100,000, they will change it to 250,000. What will they do next? Oh yea, undermine the Constitution.

You'll need to get a whole boatload more people to sign this, now.

As of January 15th, all petitions must have 100,000 signatures within 30 days, instead of 25,000 within 30 days.

Check it out...this ain't BS.

:fire:

If we wish this to be responded to, we all have our part in trying to make this go viral.

EDIT:

Sorry...it seems others have already addressed the number of signatures required issue. But the viral point is still important.

Help me spread the word. 68 people who already signed probably all know at least one or two others who would sign. Post the link on other forums and mailing lists you belong to. If we all work together we can do this.
