I broke the trigger spring this morning, and it only took 9000 rounds.
You know for a (junk gun), that's pretty good service.
As soon as I get the part, she will be ready for more action.:D

I own two, both are the VE models. They have been great guns. The one that broke {40VE}, has had thousands of full power home defense rounds through it.

I have a 9mm Sigma that I like very much. Once you get used to the trigger the gun is pretty accurate. The grip is also one of the most comfortable to shoot. I know they get a lot of bad press, but I'm very satisfied with mine.

If it wasn't a fifty/fifty crap shoot, I'd have one in my collection.
I don't know about the new ones they are making in Springfield these days, but it's the ones that were made under the old regeme that concern me. There must be a lot of them sitting, unsold, in dealer's cases!! I wonder how you could verify that the one you are about to buy was a newer one?? The utter lack of pre ban standard capacity magazines gives me pause, also!!!

I have to admit, the gun feels good in my hand, though!!! :what:

You can buy prebans for them, if you know where to look. I got mine from CDNN for $59.00 each. I don't know if they have any now though.

I used to go shooting w/ a guy who had a 9mm Sigma. Just befor the ban in CA, he found factory hi cap mags at $115 each & he bought A BUNCH! At $59 you stole them in comparison :D

I would say that your a lucky man.
From what I've read, consider yourself lucky that you got 9,000 rounds thru it.
Throw it in the re-cyclinmg bin now and buy a real pistol.

I'd call Smith and see if they will buy the gun back to put into their museum, like Volvo and their 1,000,000 mile cars.
