So, Mark from the 4 Boxes Diner on Youtube said in his recent video, which I couldn't find again, that SCOTUS wouldn't rule on a permit-less carry case since states seem to be heading that way and that SCOTUS would not impede that.

I have to disagree with him though.

With Nebraska becoming the 27th state to enact Constitutional Carry yesterday I just do not see many more doing it. Perhaps 1 or 2 more states have it in the works but after that I do not see any more states moving to permit-less carry.

Does anyone else?

If more PA voters would stop watching CNN and learn the think for themselves and stop electing potatoes like Fetterman and put a GOP governor back in charge...PA has the potential to become one. It was very close a few times..but we had a Dem idiot for a governor and it got stopped.

I think Wisconsin could also become one whenever we get a Republican governor back again. We have Constitutional open carry, now. It was brought to the forefront by a Democrat DOJ while arguing a court case and then again when he became governor.
I believe it was suggested in the legislature, but due to a threatened veto by our Democratic current governor, the idea was turned down for a later time. Our CC is very good and recognized by several other states along with reverse recognition for them too.

Virginia could do it if the Republicans pick up a couple more state Senate seats this fall. We already have permitless open carry, and an easy-to-get concealed carry license.

I still question the wisdom of carrying even if one has the right to do so.

Why? Honest question...........given that point of view then why vote, why go to religious services, why any of the ten?

AlexanderA has many posts on this matter. See this thread, especially the later posts:

Edited to Add: You might start with post 72 there.

With all charity and good will, I sincerely hope that his personal viewpoint on concealed carry is not re-examined here, it having been duly hashed out on that thread.

Unfortunately, with 4 extremely liberal anti second amendment women judges on the Supreme Court and of the 2 semi conservatives one is a woman and the other is a cityiot we'll be lucky to keep the right to licensed conceal carry.

I think "we" can agree on 12-14 States that would have to be drug, in irons, kicking, and screaming, to even Shall Issue, let alone Permit-less carry.

Let's do the math: 50 - 14 = 36 - 28 = 8 remaining States to adopt Permitless. Which says there's still hope to bring more of the US "into the fold."

I agree… but I never have faith that we can get anything done on a state level with Madison and Milwaukee around.

Edit: though, I suppose they could do it now with being able to override the veto at least at the senate level. If they wanted to.

There is a lot of support for it in Oregon and Nevada. They just have Portland and Las Vegas problems. It's not inconceivable that those state legislatures, despite being dominated by the representatives and senators from a couple cities, could come around. The vast majority of the rest of the states certainly supports it, so it doesn't seem like it would be as hard to sway as states with widespread amenability to nanny statism. Nevada just got a GOP governor after a Dem served for only one term. While both houses are blue for the session this year, the next session in 2025 could be different. The Republican governor is likely to still be there. I've been told that Oregon could get a Republican governor, you know, that it's possible. In November the race was split 47 to 43.5. Also with both houses blue, they're behind Nevada but it could flip with the next election just the same.

Sure as hell won't happen in Illinois. We were last for concealed carry, last for Four H shooting sports and fighting an uphill battle to keep normal everyday guns.
